I had soo much fun in Buffalo!! My mom grew up there and I usually try and visit twice a year! It was so exciting to be able to have a truck show there and have my cousins come to the event too!! Mary, who owns the store is amazing:)
All the employees were so beautiful and I was able to use them as models!!! Everyone in this photo is in ALTHEA HARPER or Sittella.
I am wearing the Wave Dress from the Sittella Collection.
I had so much fun at my trunk show at the Envy!! I am soo excited that my line will finally be available to buy for Dayton customers. I always enjoy meeting customers and getting the chance to speak to them directly about my garments:)
ps- you will prob notice that my hands are blue from dye- life of an artist;) lol
Last month I gave a talk at Drexel University, I had a great time and I love sharing my stories with college students because I was there only a couple years ago and feel that I can really relate in addition to giving great advice – I have learned a lot these past couple years!! lol
This is a video from EXPO, which is a charity event to raise money for Room to Read’s Reading Room Program. I like this video because the women wearing my clothes are not models and it shows how curvier women of all shapes- not just the stick thin models- look and feel in my clothing. I hope you enjoy!
At the GenArt premiere of “Mercy” in a dress from my Fall 2010 collection! I love the building dress because it is so easy to dress up and down. I had been running around all day before this premiere and needed something that would carry me into the night! The black and white makes it easy to accessorize, yet the unique print makes it stand out.
Logan and I had a great time at the event at The Shoppes at Chino Hills. We got to meet fans, sign photos and even give contest winners their own personal shopping experience. Logan and I each had a contest winner and we took them around “The Shoppes” and helped them spend their $500 gift card. I was paired with a young school teacher who was soo much fun, we ended up finding so many great pieces that she spent almost double the amount of the card! I know how to bargain shop so she really had a complete new wardrobe, lol.
My sales rep had a large space in the Copper Building for LA market. My collection was in a part of the room with a lot of other designer’s collection and buyers come and look at all the different lines to decide what they want in their stores.
I went directly from school to Project Runway to starting my own line so it has definitely been a lot of learning and hard work in the past couple years!! Therefore, I have to admit that I felt proud seeing my Fall and Spring 2010 collections together, showing in a room with a lot of other great designers within a year of starting my company. I can’t wait to continue the success!!xx
I wanted to share some photos from my trip to LA. I came to LA for a couple weeks for the Chino Hills event and LA market, which happens to take place during LA Fashion week, so there were a lot of events and I used this opportunity to showcase my Fall 2010 line! I dressed the talented and beautiful Tanisha Harper for a few events. I also had a great time at the Designer and Muse event where I ran into Nick Verreos his muse Lisa (Tanisha was my muse!), some of my favorite fellow Project Runway alumni!xx
I am doing an event this Saturday at The Shoppes at Chino Hills! I will be giving fashion advice to a lucky winner of a $500 gift certificate!! If you are in LA I would love it if you stopped by, I know this will be a really fun event!xx
This is an interview with Society Stylist after my Fall fashion show. As you can tell I am a little disheveled after my show (there was a lot going on!) but it was still a fun interview.
