I recently attended the TalentMaven.com Launch Party at the Hudson Terrace in NYC. I have been sooo busy working on Spring 2011 that I haven’t been able to spend much time with friends and it was a great time to catch up.

I wasn’t too crazy about my hair or make up here, but I had to get ready in like a half hour…my hair wasn’t even all the way dry in this photo!! lol

I actually borrowed the shoes, belt and earrings from my friend Stephanie!! I was just in my bum clothes in the studio and so I just grabbed a dress from my fall collection and ran over to her apartment to get ready!

She looks amazing and I couldn’t think of a better model for the dress!!

I was so excited when StyleBistro wrote a post about my cutout dress and I!!

They said I looked “sexy” and have me featured with Kim Kardashian, Kylie Minogue, and Vannessa Hudgens among others for the trend…

and most importantly they featured my dress!!

They also did a write up about my hair calling it “sexy waves”!!

Project Runway Season 8 Premier Party!!

Last Wednesday I attended the Season 8 premier party for Project Runway!! It is always amazing to catch up with my fellow season 6 designers as well as meet the new one from previous seasons, past season or the current season! We all experienced an a amazing (at times) and unique event- so its great to stay in touch! I also was happy to dish out advise to the new designers on how to deal with the press, ect and the things I wish I knew!!

A ton of designers…and Heidi!!

Heidi was soo sweet to me!! She kept calling me “Sexy Mama” as I was wearing one of my more revealing dresses from my Fall collection.

My motto is -”If I wont wear it, then how can I expect my customers to wear it?!” However, the dress is also produced with opaque side cut outs for those a little less daring

Stephanie was blown away by Heidi- she thought she was soo sweet and that she was ten times more beautiful in person…it also didn’t hurt that Heidi loved Steph and complimented her gorgeous, waist length hair (its in a ponytail in this pic, but it is definitely the most amazing hair I have seen- she gets stopped on the street asking if it is real all the time!)

Chatting with E! TV – they loved the dress made someone run after me after I left the press line so they could film me spinning in it to get all angles- that was on of the highlights of the evening for me!xx

Trying not to sweat in the heat- it was soo hott!!

Venice Dress- multiple uses!!

I LOVE the Venice Dress from my Sittella collection! I recently discovered that if makes an amazing (and super comfortable!) skirt as well!! The Venice Dress is my go to clothing piece when I want cute and comfy. However, I was wearing it soo much that I realized I needed to change it up…and honestly didn’t want to deal with a dress! So I pulled it down and voila- the most amazing, easy skirt!

I got soo many compliments as it comes in at the waist and hugs the body just right!! I had to share it with you!!

As you can see here- this dress was cut a little shorter (for summer and traveling) but the great part about this dress is that with the bamboo jersey and raised front slit, is that you can hem it to any length that you want!!

Also if you pull down for a skirt you can easily roll the top down with the elastic back with out actually altering the garment!xx

Sarah Evans of Sevans Strategy hosted the Swagg red carpet at the BET Awards wearing my feather dress from my senior thesis!

Sarah said that TI LOVED the dress and that he would follow her around plucking feathers!!

haha- I am soo glad that my dress was a hit!

I can see why- she looked amazing it and rocked it!! Plus- it doesn’t hurt that Sarah has an amazing body;)

#SWAGGHAMPTONS

I attended the opening day of the Mercedes-Benz Polo Challenge in the Hamptons with Swagg and Sevans Strategy.

I can’t wait till it comes out!! I have been bragging about to everyone I know!!

Swagg put us on a luxury bus to the Hamptons…and it was serious luxury! All you can drink champagne and gourmet brunch buffet! The bus was filled with tons of editors, and important social media fixtures in NYC. We all tweeted about the event with the hashtag #swagghamtons.

I learned soo much about social media, it was amazing!! Swagg also presented us with the most amazing gift bags!! Digital picture frame with photos from the event on our ride home- fabulous!!x

The amazing Sarah Evans- owner of the new media PR firm Sevans Strategy, introduced me to Swagg. Not only is she part of the brains opertaion with her social media expertise, but she is also the talent interviewing the stars on Swaggs rep carpet….talk about having it all!!

Ashley Pruitt- an amazing stylist, Devorah Rose- editor in chief of Social Life Magazine and I

These are two extremely talent, and inspirational women. I was so fortunate to meet them at the event and I look forward to working with them in the future. You will certainly notice Ashley’s styling talent in a variety of high profile magazines and Devorah, in addition to running her magazine is featured on the show High Societ, Real Houswives of New York among others.

Stomping out divots on the green- half time at the Polo Match. One of my favorite parts of the game!! (the funny thing is at these events if becomes so social that a lot of people rarely watch!)

With Amber Rose (a future client!) and I. I was able meet her along with a variety of New York Housewives and Kourtney Kardashian. They were all there to support Swagg!!

Kourtney was soooo unbelievably sweet. She remembered me from dressing her in a look from my Fall 2010 collection. We made plans to work together in the future and she said that she went to my website and LOVED it!! That really made my day!!

If your reading this Kourtney- thank you! lol

My Fiancee Stewart and I! We really could have used sunglasses!! Stewart ended up “barrowing” Amanda’s and I was left with a bunch of photos where my eyes look gouged out! ahh Something to remember for next time… lol

My Amazing Day at P&G!

When I went back to Cincinnati for the DAAP fashion show I also was part of an amazing day at P&G.

I first had lunch with a group of new hires where I answered questions and talked about inspiration and creative marketing…

Marketing is so interesting these days with the movement of product placement actually on tv shows, not just commercials. Project Runway is such a great example of that with L’Oreal and Garnier.

I then went to the P&G offices to have a meet and greet with employees. I brought examples of my work and they had giant prints of my work set up among two different rooms. We also had a raffle for some of my Althea Harper tanks and Scarfs.
